7 Rules to Follow for Laptop Rebates
Many manufacturers offer "discounts on their laptops and computers. Many people are skeptical of this type of discount, and for good reason. They (the owner) you go through a few hurdles before you get that all important rebate check. Here is a checklist you can use to ensure that the money that you should protect.
1. It's sure not expired before the purchase that the rebate offer. Most shops do not remove product that has passed only because of the discount.
2. Readthe small print. If you do not follow the rules of the letter you will receive no check.
3. The sales receipts and UPC are the important things. Once you meet the conditions, # 1 and # 2, you must prove that you purchased, the product actually is. Most manufacturers will not accept returns if the UPC symbol is truncated to the field. Make sure it is what you want before you cut the UPC and send him for a discount. Add all items asked for discount.
Make copies!
4. DependingAmount of the discount, you might want to consider whether all rebates by registered mail. This is an additional expense, but it might be worthwhile if it is a huge amount. Most of the discounts you can check the status of an 800-number or a website. Of course, the manufacturer is in no hurry, you receive the check box. Check on the offer form to see what the waiting period. Generally 8-12 weeks is the timetable.
5. Be careful when you check your e-mail for the rebate check. Often, the rebate checkEnvelopes look like junk mail. This is my intention, I'm sure. Junk mail usually ends up in the trash without opening. Also, most of the controls have a time frame that they can be cashed in. Be sure to deposit or cash it right away.
6. Again, the majority of producers and distributors will not accept product returns for the cut with the UPC. Make sure that you intend to get the product before signing up for a discount.
7. You must complete all phases of the rebate document by copies.
MakeCopies of everything. This is important. If you do not receive your check on time, you have proof that you have file for a discount.
