Best Netbook of 2009 Toshiba’s NB208-N310
Toshiba may be new to netbooks, but the companies are not foreign petite. Toshiba's NB205-N310 ($ 400) jumps into the market and takes a leading position in the ranking. This primo portable not only delivers where it counts with the longest battery life up to now, it does so with flair and some great design decisions. In short, Toshiba has come a long way since blazing trails with their Libretto subnotebook in the 1990s.
I shall begin this review, the NB205'sonly real "downer": the pedestrian speed and courage. The intestines are a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB 5400-rpm hard drive, which together earned NB205 a rather standard performance score of thirty-six 6th in PC WorldBench But this is pretty much the only thing I would refer to as "average" about the NB205-N310's.
Toshiba spokesman said: It can take the NB205 N310 six-cell battery for almost nine hours. Wrong. In our tests, survived the NB205 an astonishing 9Hours, 53 minutes. For a little perspective, that's just the longest time so far that a netbook has been able to run - and that is with the basic battery on board. That alone catapults this netbook 's worth a great top pick in the charts.
A killer pair keyboard and a touchpad to be a champion for netbook essential. After all, how useful is a machine, if you can not enter without hurting the hands? Toshiba value by the size chiclet NeckKey just big enough, and by the sinking of a large touchpad. This simply is the best mouse pad Netbook to date. As a participant in the surface of the strike zone is larger than that on many laptops in full size! Next, mouse strain, the hearty camp on the southern edge of the machine - the facilitation of the hand. Your physiotherapist will agree.
The N310 has a good (if sometimes muted) color replication and supports a precise in the context of the reasonable resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels on its brilliant 10.1-inch –Screen. I noticed a few dark spots, which in one or two blob has washed - but otherwise the images seen many sharp.
Its configuration appears quite simple on the surface: three USB ports, an SD card reader, a webcam, VGA, Ethernet, and headphone and microphone. But it is in a 2.9-pound package, and with a sense of style, which does not look cheap or sit down a bit.
Toshiba also adds a few extras, the NB205-N310, making sure thatCharming people on the go - and looking even harder for the IT departments for cheap PCs to a mobile workforce. A well-known perk is a pass-through USB port, with the user-powered USB port charging devices while the computer is allowed off. The netbook can also be an internal accelerometer hard drive protection during falls and offers wireless WAN support as an option.
